Introduction
Shane Global Cape Town is offering the University of Cambridge CELTA course in conjunction with Saxoncourt Teacher Training (centre # ZA109).

Location
Cape Town lies at the foot of Table Mountain on the Atlantic coast of South Africa. Many hiking trails and walks are all within easy access of the city and it is possible to swim with penguins or watch seal colonies at nearby beaches. A bustling and culturally diverse city with many restaurants and bars, Cape Town also hosts a lot of markets selling everything from flowers to wooden curios.
>> More
SG Cape Town occupies two Victorian-style buildings in the pedestrian area of the historial waterfront of the city. The school features a private courtyard with garden, a multi-media computer lab and a lounge with coffee bar.

Schedule
Daily contact hours will normally span some 7 to 8 hours from 09:30 to 16:45, Monday to Friday with teaching preparation and written work in addition.

Assessment
Trainees are assessed on a continual basis in all the syllabus areas with particular emphasis on their teaching ability and potential. Halfway through the course trainees have a one-to-one tutorial with the trainer, and are told how they are doing and what aspects need extra work. At the end of the course, a grade (PASS A, PASS B or PASS) is awarded to successful participants, who will then receive the certificate.
