Cambridge ESOL and Trinity College London
There are many courses offered for people who wish to gain a
qualification in Teaching English to speakers of other languages
(TESOL). The choice can be confusing. It is important to choose
a course that will lead to a reputable qualification that is
recognised by employers around the world.
Two validating bodies, offering a range of qualifications for
both native speaker and non-native speaker teachers stand out
from the rest in terms of international recognition. They are
Cambridge
ESOL and Trinity
College London. |
|
Both offer courses for new and practising teachers.
Each Cambridge or Trinity College centre is approved, after
going through a rigorous validation process, to run one or more
of their courses. Each course, wherever it is run in the world
is assessed or moderated, by a validated assessor or moderator
who is not a member of staff of the centre running the course.
This ensures that the high standards set by the two validating
bodies are maintained and that every trainee can be confident
that the qualification will remain widely respected and recognised
by employers internationally
