Rick Ansell
BA Eng Lit., Dip TEFLA Teacher Trainer and
EFL Teacher
Hi,
I have been teaching English for eighteen years and training
teachers to teach English for ten. I have worked in London
for the last 12 years but before that I worked in Spain,
Italy, Turkey and Brazil.
When I'm not in the classroom or preparing lessons, I
am to be found in the mountains fell-running or mountaineering. |

Marion Turner
MA ELT, Dip TEFLA Teacher Trainer and EFL
Teacher
Hello,
After dabbling in the legal profession for a couple of
years, I was whisked off to Africa by my husband. It was
there that I discovered my love of teaching, after answering
a rather desperate advert for an urgently required English
teacher!
N eedless to say, I found it fun and very challenging
and the rest is history. I have added to my qualifications
over the years - I'm a glutton for punishment and I love
academic work. I am currently a teacher trainer with Saxoncourt
and an EFL teacher at ShaneGlobal and loving every minute
of it. |

David Nield
BA, Dip TEFLA
Director of Studies
Hi,
Having worked in a summer language school for many years
as a schoolboy mending bicycles, I was spurred on to do
a degree in languages and a preparatory course in EFL
straight afterwards. Within two weeks, I was heading out
to North Africa and a new future; I have never looked
back. Teaching has always been fun, even when it's been
particularly challenging - you learn to adapt and be creative
with each new situation.
Further courses followed and responsibilities too as I
made a career, not to mention a living, in various countries,
and tried to integrate into their cultures. Along the
way I played Sunday league football in Italy, helped set
up schools in "New" Poland and grew bananas
in the Azores. Now I'm back in Britain, happy to put my
experience to use in this friendly school. |
