
This is a two-week teacher-training course for English teachers from overseas. The course offers English teachers the opportunity to brush up their English language and to enhance their existing teaching skills. Participants will explore recent developments in English as a Foreign Language Teaching methodology. They will also focus on advanced English language work. The course is tailored to meet the needs of the group.
The course involves 50 lessons and includes classroom observation of experienced teachers and English language students. The input sessions concentrate mainly on language analysis and classroom methodology, and include the following:
- Student-centred learning approach
- Discussion of the lexical approach and its implementation
- Process and product approaches to teaching
- Task based learning
- Practical teaching ideas
- Language development
- New developments in teaching e.g. Blended Learning
Entry requirements
Upper intermediate level of English and qualification or experience as a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language
